Thank you Bruce (and Joel). Latest is: I've downloaded the Mbox update and was ready to launch Pro Tools (for first time on this computer, Mac Air 10.7.5) to find that there is NO input (for the lead from Mbox interface) of the correct size on the Mac Air.

The following describes the situation: Oh boy. If anyone knows of a way around it, very glad to hear. I need to record 'out in the field', so need a light computer for that.

In case useful info: At the Apple 'Genius Bar' I've been told I CAN downgrade my larger computer (iMac Maverick) back to iMac 10.6.8 (& they will assist), which means I can run Pro Tools 9 &/or 9.0.5 on that. In fact, I can have two sections on the iMac: one being Maverick and the other 10.6.8 (and run Pro Tools from that one but still have the advantage of Maverick for other things).

Have launched Protools 9.0.5 on my MacAir 10.7.5. After upgrading the MBox Pro to 1.0.14 (apparently this is correct one).

All is plugged in correctly and opened in correct order (computer turned on last). And the mains power is plugged in to computer.

Pro Tools Authorization A Pro Tools authorization lets you run Pro Tools software on a supported Mac or Windows computer with an Avid-qualified audio interface (such as Mbox Pro or Fast Track) or any third-party audio interface with supported Core Audio (Mac) or ASIO (Windows) device drivers. I was able to get my Avid MBOX 2 up and running again by installing yosemite on an external disk and then re-downloading garage band and the MBOX 2 drivers. First I installed the 10.3.9 MBOX 2 driver but the device was not recognized. I had to manually delete the 10.3.9 drivers using the terminal and then install 10.3.3 MBOX 2 driver.

My query is: I cannot get any sound through headphones plugged in to the MBox to, e.g. Listen to the Demo Sessions. Nor can I get any response on Protools when making sound into microphone plugged in to MBox. Does this mean my computer is not recognising the MBox (interface)? Thank you in advance.
