An adjustable sliding weight on the underside offers a simplistic choice for the average golfer. It allows you to basically shift from a fade ball flight to a draw in a matter of seconds. Control / Feel Wow!!
That is all we can say regarding the feel and particularly the sound at impact. Absolutely unique! An unbelievable sound that arises when striking it in the center. So much so that when we tested it we couldn’t help but turn heads to one another and stare in surprise.
Particularly good feedback at impact, it really feels like the ball has been parted with maximum velocity and ideal spin rate when hitting this driver. Performance Outstanding distance, superb forgiveness and the ability to adjust weight settings in order to adapt to your swing and ball flight characteristics. That being said though it may leave you in constant search of the correct setting for you personally. Because the option is there to adjust after each round, you most likely will adjust very often. The ‘olden day’ drivers you HAD to adapt to over a short period because of no customization. You had to learn how to hit them well. So if you are prepared to be disciplined and stick to your initial favored setting you are going to really enjoy this driver.
Value for Money Another winner in this category, Callaway just know how to get it done and get it done well. The has that sexy feel about it and makes you want to hit it again and again. It’s long off the tee and forgiving enough for the decent golfer, it is as solid as they come. Own the GBB in 9%. I’m a 4 HDCP & have been playing for many years. Love this driver. It is very long & forgiving.
Recently went 2 rounds without missing a fairway. I set it up in the slight draw position & try to just hit it square to square. My misses would be getting a little stuck in the backswing & leaving it right or a little over the top. But the misses are rare. Was thinking of going to the Taylormade 2017 M2 in 9.5%. Will not part with my GBB, in any case. Always looking for something better, in the driving game.
