Well it was fun, but not a great score. Biggest difference was the Sam Snead wedge. I normally use a Mizuno MP-R wedge with much much lower bounce. I felt I had much less control and my normally tidy short game around the green was horrendous.

Next most obvious difference was the driver. Significantly smaller sweet spot with what felt like a ridiculously long shaft but the couple I flushed were noticeably shorter than my TM R9. Also much harder to control a draw/fade.
I set up as normal, but the ball probably curved 75-80% more then usual. I'm a decent ball striker but you'd need to be Mo Norman to hit the thing consistently.
Technology has certainly moved on. Irons were, by and large, not that different from my MP 57s (apart from a weird, high pointy toe, a much heavier swing weight and grips that were too skinny for me). I was quite accurate and had no obvious loss in distance - I even hit a couple of 3 irons around 240 yards according to my GPS. I reckon that I would be able to shoot a good found with them once I had hit a few hundred range balls All in all, I'm sticking to my regular set from now on!
