Aside from spending quite so much from other holiday collections, there’s nothing that really interests me. The other 2 lipsticks are either lustre in finish (which I am not a fan of) and another matte which I already have countless of matte red lipsticks in my stash.

I decided to give Mac Ultramarine Pink a try since it’s a pinkish purple lipstick and if it’s dupeable, I’m just after for its packaging for my collection. Mac Prabal Gurung Ultramarine Pink lipstick Mac Ultramarine Pink is described as a midtone dirty violet with a satin finish. On my lips, it flaunts as a neutral purple almost bright raspberry pink with a satin finish. It went on for 6 hours of wear on me and left a stain for the next 3 hours. It lasted longer than your average satin lipstick from Mac and it’s also very lightweight.

I like that it feels semi-matte than a full on satin. It is still very comfortable to wear minus the slip. The formula is really quite impressive. Mac was in a position to convince me for the price I’ve paid them.
It glides with ease during its application with no signs of pulling or tugging. But I still won’t consider this as a creamy lipstick nor satin. Semi-matte is the perfect description of its texture. It is a non drying, non hydrating formula that doesn’t fill into your lip cracks or migrate onto the lip lines. The gold case is metallic with a yellow plastic snap to close.

Too bad it’s not a magnetic snap closure. I find the yellow plastic as kind of off.
Just my opinion, it doesn’t look luxurious when paired with the metallic gold exterior. I am not sure when Mac will restock this, but if you missed it keep an eye when this becomes available in Mac retailers next week. I also made a side by side comparison below of possible dupes in my stash. Dupes I do have doesn’t even come close to this. So at least I was able to justify the $30 I’ve spent on this lipstick.
The $70 bronzer, which is a permanent shade enclosed in a golden package, I personally think is ridiculous. I get that it’s a nice package, but if the formula hasn’t even changed, why spend the money when you can just get it for half the price. Surprisingly, it sold out after 4 hours. I do not know what is wrong with this picture, but I can see how loyal Mac’s fans are. Mac Ultramarine Pink Lipstick‘s formula however reminds me of the Nars Audacious lipsticks.
